Biography: Liz Borger, BComm, MBA, QMed, CDS
Liz Borger is a Corporate and Family Mediator, as well as a trainer for Peer Mediation and Skills Training (PMAST). Mediation aligns perfectly with her natural problem-solving instincts and passion for helping others navigate conflict.
Before transitioning into mediation, Liz built a successful career in business. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Haskayne School of Business. Her professional experience spans client development in the construction and land development industries, as well as entrepreneurship—having owned and operated an athletic wear company. Throughout her career, Liz has embraced a “glass half-full” approach, focusing on understanding client needs and guiding them toward solutions that support their success. These skills have seamlessly translated into mediation, where she thrives on helping clients find common ground and reach meaningful agreements.
Beyond her professional work, Liz is an active volunteer with the Community Mediation Calgary Society (CMCS) and PMAST. She also balances a busy family life with her two children—her daughter recently passed the CFE (CPA) exam, and her son is working toward his Red Seal in heavy-duty mechanics.
In her free time, Liz enjoys spin classes, yoga, paddleboarding, and beach days, as well as spending time in the mountains—embracing the active lifestyle that keeps her energized both personally and professionally.
